The annual giant pumpkin competition in Kasterlee is today. Luckily it’s a sunny day, so I joined the occasion.
In reality the size of the pumpkins are more shocking than looking at the photos. You can compare the proportions of the people and the pumpkins in the photos. This year’s champion has won by more than one thousand kilos of pumpkin!
It has been a well organised fun day, besides the live band and various stands at the pumpkin competition, next Sunday they will make giant pumpkins into pumpkin canoes to row on the river.
