育苗小撇步：扁蒲種殼較厚且質輕，不易吸水，宜先行浸種催芽。 先浸種48 小時後，再與介質混合，以濕潤毛巾包裹後置於25 ～ 30 ℃下，經2 ～ 3 天幼芽突出種殼，再行播入育苗盤內育苗。 播種深度以介質恰能插入種子為宜，待幼苗3 ～ 4 葉本葉展開時，即可定植田間。
採收：為使雌花提早發生，應行摘心。一般從開花到採收12～15天；並註意頭批瓜宜早採收，以促進植株生長發育，提高產量。
品種特性 ：圓匏花蒲，果皮綠花斑，果重約650公克，果長約14公分， 貯運性強， 品質細嫩。
